THE WF MEYERS DIAMOND BELT SAW
No other saw works better on earth.
Getting stone out of the ground is no easy task. WF Meyers is one of the few companies in the world to have developed a saw for the stone extraction process. We've taken the basic principles of the diamond wire and designed a machine that is revolutionizing quarry operations around the world.
[Vertical Cuts at a Variety of Depths]
Our vertical diamond belt gives you flexibility. If you're working with marble, you'll find the undercutting efficiency of the horizontal diamond belt saw unmatched in the marketplace. Combine the two saws in your quarry operation and you'll produce smooth cuts on all six sides of the stone. You'll literally be taking the stone right out of the ground!
[Low Labor Costs]
Our diamond belt saw takes only three to four workers to operate. By using Maxiforce airbags, your workers can easily turn ledges over and break blocks loose at the bottom after the cuts have been completed. That's quite different from traditional hands-on quarry operations where the same tasks take up to eight to ten workers.
[Safer Method of Quarrying]
With a wire saw, you know that when 300-400 feet of wire breaks, there's a substantial risk that someone might get injured. But the WF Meyers Diamond Belt Saw is safe in operation. There are actually very few moving parts in our diamond belt saw, which makes for simple and straight ahead maintenance. The patented diamond belt actually floats on water. As water is fed underneath the side of the belt through the hollow core guide bar, the diamond belt hydroplanes on the guide bar and avoids contact with any metal surface. This process keeps the belt cool and minimizes wear on the belt and guide bar, plus it flushes out the cut at the same time.
[Go from Zero to 200 ft. in One Hour]
Maximize productivity. Reduce your cost per cut per square foot. Each model of the WF Meyers Diamond Belt Saw (vertical and horizontal) utilizes a rotating guide bar that allows the user to cut on either end of the machine. Adjust your cutting widths and maximize your number of useable products. With the turnaround feature, you can cut on both sides of the machine without having to change tracks -- and that saves valuable time. The machine simply swivels on a huge bearing and you're back in action, cutting in the opposite direction.
[Smart Design for Easy Operation]
The control panel is mounted on a pendulum which turns 180 degrees. This gives the operator easy access to the controls along with the flexibility to work on all sides of the machine. The control panel is also removable and comes with a mounting stand and long cord for the added convenience and safety of operating the saw from a distance. The feed controls are monitored by a small computer with a digital readout showing the actual speed of cutting. If the belt would ever get hung up or pinched, the automatic shutdown activates to prevent costly damage to the belt.
[Quieter Operation]
The WF Meyers Diamond Belt Saw cuts that quietly. When we first introduced our diamond belt saw in 1985, we knew it would have multiple applications beyond the quarry industry. Our Diamond Belt Saw is your "no-blast", "low-noise" solution for making utility cuts or taking on excavation projects. Also, with the diamond belt saw there's virtually no dust created during the cutting process since water is used to flush out the cut every inch of the way.
The diamond belt saw rides on sturdy tracks that come in five and ten foot lengths. Depending on the type of stone you're cutting, and the depth and speed of the cut, we can help you determine the optimum number of tracks you'll need to maximize the efficiency of your cutting operation. To compensate for irregular surfaces on the quarry floor, easy-to-adjust leveling jacks can be installed on the tracks. One wrench is all you'll need to make the adjustments to keep the diamond belt saw traveling on a level plane. Our diamond belt saws are available with a standard 240V or 480V, high-powered electric motor. We can also adapt a motor to meet your specific voltage needs.
We know the quarry business and how to save you money in and out of the quarry. Revolutionize your stone cutting operation today with a WF Meyers Diamond Belt Saw.
