Not just for limestone anymore! Whether you're cutting limestone, marble, bluestone, sandstone, granite, slate, man-made synthetic stone,
carbon, graphite or refractory materials, our custom-made Dia-Brasive® Circular Diamond Blades meet your exact sawing application. With the
investment you've made in machinery, materials and manpower, you can't afford a blade that's prone to off-sawing, cuts too hard or chips
as the blade exits the cut. At WF Meyers we'll custom-design a blade that matches both the material and your machine to assure fast,
reliable cuts time-after-time.
[Replaceable Diamond Segments]
Our blades come with replaceable diamond segments from six inches to nine feet. Based on the information you provide, our engineers
will vary the bond or "matrix" which fuses the various metals that hold the diamonds in place. We make certain that the diamonds are uniformly
distributed throughout the segment to give you consistent cutting performance and long segment life. Depending on your specific stone cutting
application, we calculate the size, concentration, and type of diamond to optimize your cutting speed and accuracy. From straight cuts to angle
cuts, ripping to jointing, our blades deliver the cutting power needed to help you process more square feet per man hour.
[Regular or Silent Cores]
Quiet please! Your blade is speaking. A good sawyer can determine how a blade is cutting by the sound it makes. Our performance-proven blades are
available with either regular or silent core (steel) to give you more options in your stone cutting operation. While regular blades are suitable
in certain applications, required ear protection often hinders a skilled operator's ability to hear the blade as it "talks to the stone." With a
silent core blade, operators can tune-in with their ears to identify any cutting problems and make necessary modifications.
[Precision Tensioning]
Tested, tuned and ready to work. Once we've finalized the design of your blade(s), our skilled sawsmiths use a hammering
technique to precision tension your blade. The process is extremely difficult to do properly and the art comes only after long practice and experience.
The blows from a hammer set up certain strains on the blade which actually stretches the rim thereby ensuring rim strength. The end result: true running
when the blade is cutting for flutter-free performance to help reduce the strain on your saw.
